no make it 1,99€, not worth 5€
The main appeal is the sheer amount of zombies so its a quite nice brain off game whereas other games like this seem really hands on. E.g. Back 4 Blood has loads of equipment and card choices, Vermintide has different enemy formations to react to.
This game has a lot of holding down areas whilst you do something or protect NPCs. So the main gimmick is to place defences and to use heavy weaponry to fight them off. Specials are janky if you're coming from other games, as lurkers(hunters) will teleport to corners in front of you, boosters will literally spawn in front of you and bulls(chargers) are very good at turning. Also the rats are super stupid but have been nerfed a few times.
The game has a bit too much grind to it, with you needing to grind
- class exp
- yellow coins
- weapon xp
- blue coins (higher difficulties)
- documents (hidden items - only available in challenge mode)
- extreme victories (highest difficulty)
It's a much better adaptation of the book than the film is. With some of the characters being taken/adapted from the book, instead of Brad Pitt drinking Pepsi. Obviously it is different as the zombies run, and there are automatic weapons.
Multiplayer PVP is basically dead.
EDIT: The bots are pretty useless on hard and above.
but I agree with the lack of content makes you get bored easily. I just heard there will be new update to the game giving you 2 new maps in horde mode (jerrusalem and NY), new melee weapon + allows you to choose any character despite which episode you're playing in.
I wouldn't recommend this game if u don't have any friend to play with. Just like you mentioned, the active player is very little so it takes time to find a match (a match with decent players and low ping).
wait2... it's still on sale... what do you mean 40? $40? which region are you come from?
maybe these things happened to him and he happened to know they're from russia maybe because they use russian instead of english in in-game chat. english is not my first language but when I play a game globally, the first language I'd use is english. not gonna lie, most russian player I've met in any game would start a conversation in in-game chat using their own language. like, wtf? this also include China and Japan. I mean, just use broken english I don't care. I also use broken english
In my own expirience almost all random players doesn't interact with you at all: when u r bleeding, when u marked some loot or virus sample, when u telling them to extract from the mission. And i always use english language - they just doesn't care. Yesterday i've waited for 30 minutes straight at extraction point cause 3 randoms keep killing zombies with no point. I used my mic to tell them that it's time to go - they didnt give a f. So if this dude feels that he can just go and insult russian players from my prespective i have all rights to do the same to english speaking community. Like wtf?
@elTwin*V*
do you have a source for the update?
so basically, the information about new upcoming update was meant for japan or already coming to japan or something like that... :v but yeah, it's not just a rumor because you can already see a bunch of new stuff from japan in-game version
edit : ummm anyway, it's live now lol
The game is totally not dead if you're playing in Europe (which is exactly your case). Even if you're on another continent, it's still possible to find people to play with even during weekdays at any time of the day as long as you can tolerate an increase in latency (ping).
Remember that this game has multiple game modes, multiple levels, and multiple difficulties. Some missions are locked behind DLCs. People can play this game on many platforms, from many countries, and in many time zones. There are many combinations of these parameters, and you can't expect to find 3 other German players with gaming PCs to play Rome 3 on Extreme at any time of the day. Make sure that you have crossplay enabled and use the "quickplay" feature of your chosen mode if your goal is to get matched with others quickly.
Epic Games has been doing weekly giveaways of paid games for a long time. Has WWZ been given away? Yes, that's true, because it was this game's turn to be given away for free back then. It was a limited-time offer tied to the Epic Games platform.
This game has a built-in ping system, radio commands (just like in old games), text chat, and voice chat. What you're saying is incorrect. How have you even come to this conclusion?
If 2002 indicates your year of birth, I have to tell you that this game has players old enough to be your parents. GenoMachino, the author of multiple perk guides on Reddit, is one of them. There's nothing wrong with playing this game as a teenager, though. Everyone is welcome as long as they are willing to be a positive addition to the team and not act a troll/griefer by ruining games on purpose.
Your remarks about "RUS players" and the Russian language are just adorable. Aren't you the author of this topic and this topic? Haven't you been explicitly looking for German-speaking players? What, is communicating in the English language too hard for you?
I've played in multiple regions this game has to offer, and I can safely say that the lion's share of communication in pub games happens in English. The only lobbies where this wasn't the case were in the Asia-Pacific region (Japanese, Korean, Chinese) or Latin America (Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese are the dominant languages there).
This is not to say that you must speak English and nothing else. It certainly makes things easier for speakers of different native languages because English is currently the lingua franca of the world. However, what language people on the server communicate in is up to them, and you don't get to dictate it. It's their choice. On a side note, playing video games is a nice way to learn a foreign language, so it's not okay to be mad at people for their language choice in pubs.
Speaking of Russian, you should know that it is one of the most spoken languages in the world, together with English, Spanish, German, and Arabic. It's the lingua franca in countries of the former USSR, just like English is the lingua franca in Great Britain and a major portion of the world. If gamers from Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Latvia find themselves on the same server, there's a good chance they will communicate in Russian despite not being from Russia. However, it would be grossly incorrect to call them "Russians".
Also, if you're not familiar with any Slavic language, you could easily mistake Bulgarian/Serbian/Ukrainian/Polish/etc. for Russian.
