I'm not far enough to prestige yet, but doesn't it give perks an upgrade with each prestige level? So at prestige 5 you're maybe something like 5 times stronger than someone without prestige. Or am I missing something?

Actually I got one of my classes to 30 and it just gives new red skills per prestige up to a certain number. Yeah the reset is part of it lol sorry. It's not going to make you op by doing it but it seems like it gives decent buffs.

True i recommend prestige 4 times, 5 time does't needed. Because it gives u border from gold to like platinum on something

Every single class I've prestiged 5 times, eventually you have so many points it's like eh why not

Some of the red prestige boosts are game changing though.

It's not a waste. Each prestige level unlocks a perk up to prestige level 5 (you don't need to buy prestige perks unlike common ones, they'll stay unlocked), once you get lvl5 prestige on some class - it'll be at its maximum potential (perk wise). Some of the perks are strong enough so getting them to play on extreme is useful. On the other hand, if you aren't gonna play on extreme you may not need them at all.

Since the new maps it's hard finding plays on extreme difficulty

You get additional perks up to level 4. It does not take long to get back up to level 30.

Just make sure you are picking up the virus samples and dont dawdle. I still see too many new players treating this like an exploration game.

Everyone actually should be exploring and learning the maps though. You can barely even play extreme without having already explored to know where everything is. On low difficulty there's no reason to not explore, but on high difficulty there's simply no time for it.

Explore alone or use a guide. There are limited places things spawn. There are no magical pick ups or easter eggs anywhere worth wasting time on.
