short AFK timer kick. Really?

This game HAD checked all my boxes for a quick drop-in co-op shooter. I really liked that your team could be filled with competent bots until players took over.

I was almost at the end of the 2nd mission of an episode and had to take a bio break and get a drink. I holed up in a corner and watched to make sure my bot team would defend me (they did. very well).

I dashed to the bathroom and fridge in under 5 minutes (it was probably 3) and came back to a message that I was kicked for idling. With a full bot team at that point.

I like this game, but this kind of stuff makes me not want to play it anymore.

Game just sees that its online match and doesn't care if its all bots. If someone AFKs in a game for 3 minutes thats holding up the pace of the game for others, and since it doesn't try to know if its just bots or not it just kicks you like it normally would with other people.

It seems like it would be pretty straight forward to have some check like 'rest of team is bots = no afk timer; new player drops in = timer (whatever length) starts'

I get it, but that kind of stuff is just really frustrating. Oh well, let's try another match now. :)

Yeah it probably should work like that, but I'd say just stick to offline matches as that might solve the issue if you can't find any games.
