Which documents to pick up?

So, can somebody please explain to me in laments terms how to collect the documents? Each map has 3, right? Do I have to play the map 3 times and collect them at different locations? Or can I pick them up each time from the same place? Thanks.

You collect one document per map and the maps will randomly decide when to place documents. Sometimes there will be multiple pickup locations on the same map, and sometimes just one.

So it doesn't matter which one of the multiple pickup locations I get the document? They're all the same? Ok, thanks.

Yes. You can't actually pick up more than 1 document per map per session.

You also have to play (and finish) a certain map 9 times to unlock the perk. There are 3 sets of docs, each set has 3 document pieces, 9 in total.

I wondered about this also. Then i heard the documents only appear in challenge mode. (as i have yet to find a single one, playing solo maps). Dunno if this is correct

They only appear on challenges. Usually in the first half of the map.

There's a set amount of documents that can spawn on a map, and a bunch of different spawn points for them. You only need to pick up *one* for that match.

You need to collect NINE in total for *each* level. If you get 9, you get that level's "Perk"
