It really sucks when someone joins in last minutes of the match when you played like 20 minutes and got docs, weapon unlocks and you need to quit because of a troll.
I wish there was a better solution to this than just disconnect, lost all progress of that match and report misconduct.
Yeah he was trolling. Happen to me like 3 times last week, unfortunately I had to use the solution suggested by op. But I think I will rather disconnect now, I don't want to put my account in danger due to some trolling kids who probably rent a game account for like $2.
Trolls used to join and team kill everyone, but since you have perks that significantly reduce or even remove friendly fire, they found a new way to troll other players.
I think a reputation system like in Helldrivers would be better. Good players play in good player pool, bad players play in bad player pool. And they can troll each other however they want, till they get bored. :D
In Helldrivers you have reputation that decays over time. I think you have reputation range from +5 to -5. You start with 0 and you can get 2 votes at the end of the match from other players per 24 hours.
There is also a limit for giving votes, I think also 2 per 24h, but I'm not sure about this.
And of course you cannot vote at the same person all the time, either good or bad vote.
After few days if you do not play it goes to 0 again. Bad behavior (minus range) decays slower. And players are assigned to good and bad player pools.
Block list is limited to 50 or 100 players due to console limitation and cross-play.
I would rater refrain from blocking noobs unless they constantly re-connect to your games during your current game session.
If you block a person it will block you from many possible matches that person joins.
If someone just bought a game he will learn over time, but obvious trolls are instant block for me.
But if you block noobs then for example you could have a match with two good players, one noob and a free slot. In most cases you can join and carry the noob and win a match. But since a blocked person is in that game you won't be able to join. Your match marching queues in general will be longer.
Also if you're joining someone with level 1 or 2 you're asking yourself for trouble, let them learn the hard way at their own pace.
If I see the match starts really bad I just disconnect, it's really not worth my time which is limited for gaming.
This is Sabre's fault/deliberate choice.
I would hope it was naturally disabled with bots. They literally try to walk up next to you. Since you can't command them to stay away, the mission would be hopeless.
Therefore, there are a flood of newbies who didn't pay (invest) into this game so it's a wash for them.
Figure it out before you try to alienate a group of players.
I dunno, maybe if folks genuinely have no idea how to play they shouldn't be leaping face first into difficulties higher than normal, but that's my take.
Because the game is dead in difficulty below normal. You either find someone to carry you in higher difficulty or play alone.
I hate noobs doing newbie ♥♥♥♥, but you can't only view things in your own perspective.
Perfectly said!
Some players appear to be zombies on their own, maybe Pfizer-vaccinated too often, just like the Infector with all the syringes hanging...
Quite right!
Everyone who wants to avoid to play with moronic, uncommunicative and careless dummy players, add me and we get some cooperative games up.
@Borg, nice to see you again, thought you had quit WWZ,
