CPU intensive game?

Go to 100% usage and 83c just from launching the game, the original wwz i could run with no problems. Does aftermath demand more or do i just need to upgrade? (i5-9400f/1660S)

now 2024 it's still the same. I'm thinking about refund. since it will damage the high end pc.

Apply an FPS cap.
CPU usage increases with increased FPS. Menus usually don't need a lot of GPU power, so the FPS are very high, leading to very high CPU usage. It is a common issue in games with uncapped menu FPS.

Absolutely this. Cap your frames to 60 or something, and it'll be fine.

Little too late, the guy is already refunded probably. They should disable that on default. and it is weird that dev don't know that and leave that for many years. until we figure it out on our own.
