Can I play co-op with WWZ?

My brother got WWZ on an Epic giveaway (2 years back) and I played it recently. Now, I want to play co-op with him but can only buy WWZ: Aftermath.
So, my question is, can I play the common maps in co-op between the 2 games (WWZ & WWZ:Aftermath) or do I need to get 2 copies for WWZ: Aftermath?

Common maps, yes. But for DLC maps (Marseille, Rome, Kamchatka), you have to set it in private mode so your brother can play together with you.
Please note that crossplay are not working for PvP (multiplayer), it's for PvE only.
