Lag, stuttering and bad FPS
Hi,

I bought WWZ yesterday, I checked the PC requirements and I should be able to play it at least on medium 60 FPS or even a custom graphics config with some things turned up to high. I dont know why in every scenario, at the beggining I get 60 fps until I reach a point where the fps goes to 40-45 and they never come back up. This are my PC specs:

Intel Core i5-9300H 4.2GHz
GTX 1050 3GB DDR4
8 GB RAM DDR4 1600MHz
Kingston SSD 256GB

I don't have the recommended, but again, I should be able to play it on Medium 60 fps.

My current configuration is all on medium, vulkan, 1600x900, and an option called dynamic screen resolution I think, which lowers the quality in mid fights but gives more fps and that would be itt. Fun fact is that, with that option on or off I have the same fps while mid fight, 40-45 FPS.

Can you give me any advice or any help here?

Something happened with the performance in this game over the past few weeks so not sure any bit of tweaking will help.

I was playing with some buds yesterday and we were all commenting on the bad stutter in the entirety of Episode 6 and even the final level in Episode 1. I checked afterburner during these levels and noticed my cpu was getting pegged constantly 80% or higher. All 3 of us don't have "taters" for rigs, matter of fact mine is the lower end with an 8700k and an RTX 2080. All installed in an SSD too

Well, My only Hope îs they Will release a patch in the next few weeks, If the Game itself îs not abandoned by the Dev team, Hope they'll do something.

Welcome to WWZ, it still buggy AF after 3 years, you can play normally on first 2-3 cities, others and especially DLC ones are horrible to play.

I've been getting exceptionally bad screen tearing recently, lasts only a few seconds, but it's crazy bad. Only started happening recently too.

Oh Nice, those are great news, I saw some vídeos, saw the specs requirements, saw the reviews on Steam and said, I'll give it a try, so yeah, rn I can't refund it cause I bought It on IG and I have a great game but badly optimized, I could have bought 3 Assassin's Creed with the money , or Fallout 76, or any Call of Duty If I wanted a bad game lol ( AC: Odyssey and Origins are very very badly optimized so don't try to convince me , I refunded Odyssey and bought Origins twice and still have the same performance issues when I can run It on High 60 FPS)

So yeah, idk, thanks y'all,if there 's no solution from community I can't do much .

And NO , I'm not Gonna buy another PC 'till September so yeah...

you have stutters because of your single channel 8 gb ram

Lmao, non sense trash talking, it's actually dual channel but one slot is free, and I haven't got time to buy another 8GB slot and put it inside.

If one slot is free how is it dual channel? He's not trash talking you, he's stating facts, one stick of RAM is single channel and will cause huge stutters.

I used to get stuttering when playing with vulkan. Dx11 ran way smoother despite a slightly lower average fps.

I don't think it's your hardware, you should be able to easily run this at medium at 60.

I have a i5 9600k, 16 GB DDR4, Samsung EVO NVME, GTX 1660 Super and it runs at 80-90 FPS at high at the same time I'm in a discord video chat to coordinate with team members.

Its because he's using a single 8gb stick of RAM, also if his ddr4 ram is running at 1600mhz thats slow for ddr4 maybe it has an issue, his laptop might even be overheating, i had a nitro 5 with the same exact spec and it would reach 95 degrees and thermal throttle like crazy, i disabled turbo boost and no more overheating.

If you had at least ddr5 you would see a fps increase.
I dont think they made a gtx 1050 in a laptop that didnt have ddr5 or gddr5.
