First person perspective for all or just WWZ Aftermath buyers?
I own the game on epic, GOTY edition. I was wondering if the new first person view is going to be available as free part of this update or will it be restricted for buyers of expansion only?

Hopefully will just be for Aftermath buyers I would feel ripped off if everyone got the feature I'm most happy about without paying!

Wouldn't that split the playerbase? Or is it actually changable freely and not a seperate game mode / setting?

Yeah people don't seem to understand locking features like this fragment the playerbase. It was a common tactic back in the days (IE COD map packs for example) and it's not healthy long term.

To be fair, FPS mode wouldn't add anything except maybe difficulty for the users.

I expect it to be more of a toggle on/off feature to add immersion/difficulty.

If its a simple toggle then yeah I can see it being locked behind aftermath. If it has its own game mode then it should be part of the qol update that aftermath will bring. Otherwise, fragmentation will happen.

Not necessarily. I have the older 3rd person version and I hate playing with a 3rd person camera view. Sometimes I can't see my gun, the angle it shoots at drives me nuts, my body causes collision issues and blocks my view. This is not a game specific complaint, It's what 1st person gamers don't like about 3rd person. Many of us will play Aftermath on only 1st person like other 1st person games. For me, I will never switch it into 3rd person.

The point is there is no advantage; so there's no reason to segregate them into different gamemodes.
Third person lets you see more, plain and simple.
If first person animation turns out to be garbage then I'm just not going to use it.

Who said segregate or mentioned advantage? It's just a preference that a player can choose.
