No friends to play with.. Should i get it?

Hey Everyone. So as the title says i have no friends to play this game with, will i still enjoy it you think? These games typically cater to a group of friends.

Is there random matchmaking? Skillbased matchmaking? Dont wanna hold people back :P

There's quickplay to join anyone, and people can join random games in progress. Don't worry too much about holding people back. Just start on the lowest difficulty until you learn the game

I played 20+ hrs alone and I still want to play. Easy to play story mode with randoms on 2nd difficulty, but it's a big problem on 3rd (of 5). So better to play 1-2 difficulty to complete missions the first time.

I also played Horde mode 10+ times in hard and normal difficulty. Both are playable with randoms. 20-30 waves of zimbies. It's around 60-90 min of gameplay. Only one thing - there is only one map for this mode.

You can add me to play together sometimes in Horde mode. My fav presently. GTM+3 evening time.

I’m having fun without friends that play this. Way better than Aliens Fireteam Elite which I refunded. Wanted that to be good so bad…just isn’t. No cross play, only 3 players in a team. WWZ is better in almost every facet except it’s just not Aliens. :/

You can also "create your own game" if you ready up as soon as you start matchmaking and when your character appears, you can unready. You can also play solo and hope that people join your game.

I liked Fireteam Elite . . . but it feels more rigid than this game. All the Aliens line up while charging at you, it felt weird. Still, not a bad game! Although I do like this better.

Its not bad for solo. Sometimes you get paired up with 1 person or a full team. I turned off crossplay since every PS player i got was braindead as ♥♥♥♥

I'm in the same boat. I'm almost ready to pick it up. Just hope randoms are understanding of newer players trying to figure out the game. How is the replayability? If I got it I might start with Medic since I like support classes. If anyone wants to play then feel free to add.

You can play solo by yourself off-line to learn the game. Even after that, the game is fun to play alone if you wish.

You can join any session at Normal difficulty, and rather no one would be angry at you. Just don't shoot to your teammates and be polite on chat. :D

People get angry if new players join Hard, Insane and Extreme difficulties, hoping to get carried and get some extra rewards.
But these modes require tactical approach, like use only silenced weapons, limited explosive weapon use, upgraded classes. If level 4 palyer joins such match he usually aggro all zekes in the area causing endless waves of zekes and special zekes, and usually everyone dies.

Now this sounds interesting. I might have to pick it up now. I'll start on the easier difficulty first and work my way up until I unlock better perks and such.

Fixer is really good

Along the line you get perks that give you and your team more ammo and explosive ammo as equipment. Its what im starting with right now and after i get that to 30 i'll find something else. Medic doesnt feel necessary trough lower difficulty's since its so piss easy
