Dude?
Bots are still bad though, regardless of your opinion. Just accept it and move on.
It's funny how that always happens when we have constructive criticism in regards to something that would benefit everyone in case it were improved. There is always someone to defend something that is clearly bad.
Yes, that can be done, and it's easier to pull of in the lowest difficulty. It becomes a problem in the higher difficulties.
This can also be done completely solo in the highest difficulty, as it can be seen on YouTube.
Whether people can pull it off or not, doesn't matter; different players, different skills, different preferences when it comes to playing their game. By all means, if you enjoy playing the game on lowest difficulties or by yourself, go for it; you paid for it.
>>> Bots are still bad though. <<< :)
Some improvements that i would suggest are allowing them to carry med-packs, equipment, "that they could give to you like in left 4 dead" and even toxic vials or defense kits "that they could also give to the player". It would massively reduce the tedium of playing solo, and also make it so that on higher difficulties they aren't a significant nuisance.
Add in the ability to call the AI to you via the mark function to boot, and you have a great quality of life patch.
"Look at Left 4 Dead 2 and Warhammer: Vermintide 2 for reference of much better implemented (albeit not perfect) bots."
Left 4 Dead bots heal you/themselves, pick up and give you medkits so that you may use them as you see fit. They're also far more competent than WWZ's.
Vermintide 2 bots mimic the classes, perks, and gear that you have equipped; they use skills and abilities.
We're not demanding WWZ's bots to play the game for us, only that they have some thought put into them. Other similar games (one being much older than WWZ) have done it better, so why the hell not?
L4D2 bots are no better than the ones in WWZ. L4D2 bots are brain-dead and even them being able to heal injured players is a handicap more than anything, because they'll constantly pester you and try to heal you in the worst possible moments. They'll also constantly waste temp health buffs like pills and adrenaline. Even a community made mod that "fixes" the bots, improves them, doesn't really do much. They're still awful and I'd rather have a griefer on my team, because at least a griefer will play normal until the inevitable betrayal, while bots will betray you 24/7.
My experience with L4D2 bots differs heavily from yours, so I respectfully disagree. Though far from perfect, I still defend them as being far more competent than the ones in WWZ, specially considering the game is MUCH older. I can't speak for BO4's though, as I've never played it.
You rightfully got called on that because it's a lie, OR you're straight up terrible at the game.
If you meant that they aren't helpful after the 3rd difficulty, you should have said that. You undermined your own point with hyperbole. Most people won't read this far down into your thread because they will laugh at you and move to the next thread when they read that you can't pass the game on the easiest setting with the bots.
You can get as indignant as you want, you said bots are bad on the easiest setting, imagine people reacting and replying to what you said instead of what you secretly meant?
Hyperbole is not the friend of valid points. When will people figure that out?
Yeah yeah, we can argue over this for eternity, but ultimately, they're still bad. End of story.
That I noticed. For instance, I never had problems with bots in New York; they seem to be reliable and responsive.
At other times they're brain dead, slow, and just get in the way.
Most of my problems would be solved if I didn't have to rely on them to get rid of special zombies who got me. It's literally the only thing we can't do ourselves (except with some perks).
