Low player count?

Why is it only around 1k?

The game is not getting much traction here on Steam. Most people have already got the game on Epic for free, or bought it on console 2 years ago, like myself. Personally i dont see any need to purchase the game in its fullest, when i can pay $20 for the DLC content that gave me the two new eps.

Also, the game is cross platform, so the numbers you are seeing for steam, is just a part of the whole. But i wouldn't say its much more then 1k for epic players or 2k with console players. Maybe not even that much.

Developers abandon the game and leave people in the dark out of nowhere. They also haven't fixed bugs that have existed since release. People already have the game on EGS and it's really not that great with how lag interacts with zombies.

That's steam count, its crossplay along with the epic store and most people bought it on epic store so they just upgrade from there. I constantly get games with different players from different platforms all over. Not much traction on steam because everyone is going to wait for back4blood which I am too.

I paid $20 for the epic version of aftermath, that's a big incentive.

Game is mostly dead...
Been playing it through gamepass since yesterday and it's hard to come by players. I've only seen like 10 players throughout the entire campaign with half being on xbox. Trying to find people to do higher difficulties or other modes seems near impossible.

I would probably state the number to be accurate for the most part. Probably no more than 2k players at "peak". I played this like a year ago and it was pretty fast to find groups of people back then.

Back4Blood will get as many mixed reviews and flak as this has and that is a new game , you watch.

Random DIsconnection issues, probably from cheap servers from regions outside U.S..
So people refunded.

Im enjoying it for the price even single player , its a buzz replaying missions even with the bots (only 2 skull difficulty mind) as long as you keep them patched up , its great. Pity they dont heal themselves.
Mot really bothered how many play it for myself.
