xbox controller support PLEASE

I am disabled and cant use keyboard, I desperately need to use controller, it says full controller support yet does not work, have tried settings, controller, un ticking controller and re ticking every box nothing seems to work.

I have a x box one controller, its the same with me, it isnt working at all, I´ve tried everything: default settings, steam input , steam disabled, even to reinstall the game.

Yeah, I'm sorry..but this isn't ok. This game touts full controller support, but its had these issues since it launched on Epic. I can understand having issues with PS controllers or third party..but Xbox controllers? The ones that are supported by every game on PC already? Great job.

My Xbox Elite 2 controller is working. I had to make sure I had the right controller layout selected in the Steam controller options.

Xbox one controller works fine, I think that the X360 ones are the issue here..... which does not make sense, It's Xinput anyway.....

I have a wired Xbox One controller and it still doesn't work for me.

I can’t use my Dualsense by default but I’ve worked around it by selecting the mouse and keyboard map in controller config in steam big picture, need to play around with sensitivity and it’s not perfect but it’s usable at least.

Have just got the game today.
I found that for me loading UK in Big Picture mode as I always do (couch gamer) my Xbox One wireless controller worked without any setup.

Xbox one S/X controller with the official windows USB dongle.

Have only loaded it up using Big Picture so far though so maybe it's a bug with normal loading up of game not in Big Picture mode?

I have tried loading straight from BP and from the normal UI and doesn’t seem to make a difference unfortunately.

Right click on your game in the library, then on properties and controller: Disable Steam input. Then you'll need Input Mapper or whatever 3rd party controller software you have and activate it. It's the only way for friends and myself to play with a pad. We use DS4 Windows and emulate an Xbox pad through it since we all come from a Playstation background
