Game shuts down rig
as the title, after running the game for a few minutes (or less) my rig powers off. no crash or error message, just turns off. this doesn't happen with any other games i have or have played on my computer. is anyone aware of a possible fix? my guess is that its causing my rig to draw more power than the outlet can support but im not an electrician so its only a guess. my rigs power supply is an 850 watt and no other high end games cause this, so its either the game or the outlet. any help?

If your rig draws more than your wall outlet can supply, you need to have an electrician come over, seriously.

If all your drivers are updated, it sounds like you might have an overheating problem somewhere.

Check for overheating issues. Bios says it's within normal levels. My hardware is well within minimum specs as well. I don't even get into the actual game either. This happens as I'm trying to set controls or before getting that far.

Like I said no other problems. I had the original wwz on epic and it ran fine in game and menus. Unless the requirements for this version have changed dramatically there's another problem

Sounds like overheating or possibly a faulty PSU. Do you get a bluescreen?

Nope. Just shuts down

If it's drawing too much power, then it's overheating. You can't have one without the other unless you have a faulty outlet.

You might want to try another PSU if possible then. As you would most likely get a bluescreen if it was a overheating problem.

Do we know if his computer can support this game?

I assume so, worst case he'd just get bad performance if his specs didn't meet requirements.

I would hope so too unless his hardware is failing.

Last 2 times a game shuts off my pc is due to a faulty PSU. U might want to have that checked
Onigiuri Oct 28, 2021 @ 2:28pm
It's your PSU, i had that problem in some games like Remnant, Killing Floor 2, BO3.
I changed the PSU and problem solve. It was 2 years ago. You have the same problem.

Check out the Windows - System - Event Viewer and see what errors Windows had before the shutdown.

I had the same problem, and my SATA cable was loose in my SSD. PC just kept shutting down after playing WWZ for 5-15 minutes.
