Question about dating games?
I decided to go into the community for a few dating games I have here in the hopes I can get an answer. I keep getting snubbed on reddit when I ask for help so I thought I'd plead with you guys for an answer instead...if you know that is.

I'm looking for an Otome game, but like the ones you see in Isekai, not necessarily an Isekai game but I'm interested in some of the games the protagonist is playing in some of these. Like The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess To Savior this one for example.

Some of these games the hero of the anime plays sound really fun and I was wondering if anything like they play exist in real life?

I would gladly help you if DDLC wasn't the first and only dating sim I've ever played...

I have played a few more then you then, and to be honest I did luck out and find another really good one on steam called Love Spell, if your familiar with the anime death note this one hits in an odd way. You find a book and instead of writing in names of those you want dead, you write in the name of who you want to fall in love with you and they are in love with you for a month. lol

This sounds like an interesting idea, I must admit. I've just briefly checked the game's Steam store page.

Nevertheless, the game is a paid game... I already have so many titles on my "target" list (queued to play, either already in my possession or free(ware)), so I don't have the need to buy anything in the foreseeable future. Thank you for informing me about the game though, it's always nice to learn a thing or two. :)

Edit: I haven't noticed before that the player gets to romance men in the game, so I am probably not interested. But the idea of a Love Book does sound somewhat fresh to me.

Edit 2: I wonder what happens when the spell expires... especially after "adventures" (not necessarily of, or not limited to, the intimate/romantic sort). Like doing something with someone who should actually trust you or genuinely love you. Seeing the aftermath (or, the mess) might get... hilarious... or unpredictable.
I not necessarily mean what happens in the game (Edit 3: I mean Love Spell game here), I mean the concept in general and how it works.

You have actually sparked my curiosity with the post #2 (I'm replying to post #4) and I've started thinking to play a freeware game like this just to see how it is and feels from a woman's perspective. I've never consumed romance-oriented media (I mean, specifically focused on the romance part), for example books or games, but I can't say that I'm a complete stranger to the topic of various kinds of human relationships... or an expert. I've always been curious to understand women better as I have never had any particular issues with understanding men (being a man myself).

For some reason, I've simply never been interested in this particular type of media / games / books. Romance, I mean. This might change though at some point. I can't say that I'm entirely disinterested in themes that are related to romance, or even the romance itself. Hence, I have to admit... I've already played AI Dungeon and... it does provide a lot of possibilities for exploring different scenarios. ;)
Juicy romance included... so I guess we have something in common, after all. Would die of embarassment if I misunderstood your use of the term "juicy romance" and unintentionally wrote something stupid. 💀
Played some scenarios in AI Dungeon out of curiosity or to learn something about people but I do play AI Dungeon for more mundane purposes as well...
after all, it does sound hilarious to expect everyone to jump into "juicy romances" seeking enlightenment every time. XD

Also... you have given me an idea for my next entry in my crossover / thought experiment series... yes, it's about that Love Book. Thank you. :)

Is r/otome the place you tried? It sounds odd to me that they wouldn't be helpful.

I don't really play Otome, so I don't think I can be much help, but you might like Fire Emblem if you have Nintendo consoles. The newer ones have a bigger focus around character romances, and the games are pretty popular with girls.

yea, it was them...turns out they wouldn't let me post my content because they wanted to steal bits of it for something they posted, so I just reported them and moved on. I've got way more help from you guys anyway.

I have actually played fire emblem before, but it was some time ago. XD

I'll try to help as much as I can. I would like to provide some information on AI Dungeon because I think it might be somewhat relevant to the topic, that is, that there are various scenarios there, including the ones you might be looking for. So, here's the info:

1. It's free. One does only pay for better AI models. Nothing paid is necessary to play and enjoy the game.

2. It's a sandbox text game powered by generative AI. It has currently no "traditional" game mechanics. The name is thus (very) misleading as it can be about literally anything. It's up to the player if they want the titular AI dungeon experience or something else entirely.

3. Playing user-made, AID-made, or your own scenarios is completely free and fully editable at any point "in-game." I've seen Isekai scenarios there and even played one Otome scenario. There's variety there. It really does cater to a lot of different audiences.

4. Feel free to experiment what's possible in AI Dungeon.

5. It's AI, so man-made creations will always be of superior quality. But it might be of satisfactory quality, enough to have fun.

To sum up, AI Dungeon might offer what you're looking for. You can always make your own scenario and edit / customise / expand / change everything on the go. Feel free to ask me questions about it, I'll be glad to help. :)

PS
I'm not sure if you noticed me messaging you via the Steam friend chat function.

Oh sorry...no. It's not giving me a notification for some reason. I'll try to keep closer tabs though and yea I might have to try that out.

Fire Emblem is one of those games you'll be grinding on loop to see all the character interactions. I don't think I got through half the last game before burning out. :steamsad:
Could someone recommend some good dating games because I'm still new.
