Is Natsuki a loli?
I know it's been asked, before but the result was about 50/50 yes to no. Things to consider:
Natsuki is about 14 years old, she is a high school freshman, 9th grade that's around 14, so stop saying she is 18. She most obviously isn't 18 you can just see it especially during the Manga scene, Dan only made up that she is 18 to avoid controversy.
Things to disagree on, some people say "loli "means child and therefore under 12, while others say "loli" means childlike characteristics and small figure (like Natsuki has) not to add her childlike behavior. So is she a loli, yes or no, not that I mind I just wanna know TY. I'd say yes to be totally honest.

I always thought her as one, people call characters lolis if they have flat chests in general which is usually natsuki unfortunately.

yes but i find that cute and innocent tbh. NOT in a sexual way. That's why i like her the most and (dw no i am not a pedophile because i am not even sexual, im fact im asexual) It's like how ppl find a kitten cute, but never in a sexual way. I hope that people can understand this, but I doubt most will, because most ppl throw around the word "pedo" too much when it comes to this stuff and "moe" and "lolis" and whatever. (not accusing you of saying that.)
Natsuki (and other lolis) are cute, but because they are so INNOCENT, not because they are "sexy", so I hope some people actually understand this and the whole nonsexual innocent thing.

Loli is the body type. Age isn't a factor.
Tregrenos Jun 20, 2024 @ 5:55pm
It's also important to remember Natsuki brags about being the youngest in the club. She wouldn't brag if she was only a few months away from the other characters. That means that if the oldest character is 18 Natsuki is, at most, 17.

Spoiler for those who like to deep-dive on their own...
Some of the hidden content that seems to address Yuri, or at least a character very similar to her with a 4 letter redacted name, as being a test subject in Project Libitina. If the dates and age translate to the Yuri in the game then she, the apparent oldest member of the club, is only 17 years old. If this is true then Natsuki would be, at the most, 16 years old.

I'd just typed a long-winded rebuttal featuring Nowi from Fire Emblem as an example of why this trope is wrong, but I'ma just respond with this...

"You see, your honor, the character on my body pillow is actually +1000 years old and is NOT in fact a child!" :steammocking:

The definition of a loli is the petite body type. Nowi is a loli. Natsuki is a loli. The age does not factor into the definition. Stop arguing for the sake of arguing.

I just looked up the definition of loli. It literally means a child-like youth. Not just petite, but child-like in the facial features and generally in their behavior. Lolicon is a combination of 2 words that is defined as an attraction toward underage girls. So, make of that what you will. My rebuttal merely points out that you can "say" Natsuki is 18, but that doesn't change her reason for being designed the way she was.

We know Dan Salvato designed her this way because all the characters represent a trope usually in these types of games. He focuses more on the "why" than the "what" and I think more people identify with her as a person rather than a fetish, but that doesn't change the trope Natsuki is meant to represent from being the underage-looking girl in a dating sim. I'm not saying Natsuki is a bad character, I'm not saying it's bad for someone to have Natsuki be their favorite character (other than them being wrong, #JustMonika :steamhappy:), but in terms of a "dating sim" it's obvious why she's here.

Does the term Dunning Kreuger mean anything to you?

I literally speak Japanese. ロリの意味が知ってる。自分を馬鹿にしてはやめなさい。

OK, but in what way was anything I'd said wrong? Is Natsuki intentionally designed to be the youngest looking girl or not? Whether or not you think age is a factor in the definition would she brag about being the youngest if it was only by a few months and she's otherwise the same age as the others? We can argue semantics all day but if answering "yes" to either of these questions leaves you feeling weird then you have the only answer that matters IMO.

Natsuki is 18

that's what Dan made up so people don't get into legal trouble in some countries. She is a Highschool Freshman. 99% sure to be either 14-or 15. If you look at her you can also tell she's about 3 years younger, no one thinks she is actually 18. Would age really be a thing if everyone was 18, and Natsuki is so inexperienced because she's 18 beginning? That makes no sense, and she is clearly 14-15.
