Help how do i undo Always use this app to open files option. Specifically The Character/chr files in doki doki

So i did a mistake. while i was trying to get monikas.chr to open with paint 3d... i accidentally pressed always open with. now i think i might have broken every copy of chr files i have. anybody know how i can fix this one please? Problems- The game dosen't seem to realize that there are files in The characters folder. i dont think the game can access it (i think) yes they can add it but it does nothing.. it dosent realize chr files please help me fix it i tried deleting paint 3d it self but didnt work what it says when i tried to acces the chr files is i need to find a new app to always open this specific file type....i tried resetting microsoft reccomended defualts but didnt work. i think this will forever corrupt Games that relies on CHR files (not that its a real game format but still..)

I don't know how to "clear" your choice per say, but you can always right-click a file and find "Open With" in the resulting box.

As long as you don't change the extension, the game will know they're there; it doesn't care most of the time, though.

All that should matter for this game is that the file names stay the same. It only checks whether "monika.chr" exists or not, and occasionally the others so that it can delete or replace them if they're missing at the right times. The actual files aren't opened or used by the game.

Thank you for the answers. I Most and will definitely try to use this answers to slove the problem i just put my self into. Thanks for explaining how to STILL Open the chr Whilst it being in the open with section. thanks for Putting a link to help me and Thanks for explaining to me how The Chr Files Work (Btw The name changed from having an .Chr and just having the characters name. And Also sorry for my bad english. English is my secondary language)

It Works. This definitely will help me if i do this again with any other file type and dont want to do the hassle of removing the association off file type
