(Spoilers) Question about Sayori
I choose Yuri through the game. I told Sayori that she was a dear friend and she died.

My question is, what happens if you choose Sayori the whole game? Reading reviews, it sounds like she still kills herself but why? How do they make it seem convincing?

If you haven't seen the credits, the game is not done. I recommend continuing on until then before exploring other routes <3

Thank you Mithost but I have seen the credits - The game now tells me to reinstall it to play again.

I'm really just curious to know how Sayori kills herself if you tell her you love her. She killed herself on mine because I told her she was just a friend.

Unfortunately in every route/decision tree, Sayori will eventually commit suicide on the day of the festival. This is a key plot moment and while the events around it can change and there is another ending for going above and beyond, you cannot change this one plot moment.

Thanks - I know that. I am asking WHAT is the trigger for her to kill herself if you tell her you love her?

I told her I didn't love her and that was the catalyst for her hanging. So what happens if you spent time with her tell her you do love her?

Depending on what you tell her, the dialogue that occurs when she is found will change. There is no 'trigger', it will occur on the same day regardless of what you say unfortunately.

Thanks.... Sorry, maybe I'm not making myself clear with my question - What is the other dialogue like? I don't need the full script but just the gist.

"I love you too!"
"ok, great! I'm gonna go kill myself now!" seems a bit stranget to me.

Sayori is unable to properly accept the situation of you accepting her confession (she says she feels 'empty' and confused). The MC will then change his dialog to explain how accepting her confession made the situation change so much when Sayori wanted everything to stay the same.

Well, Monika, when she went to go talk to Sayori in the classroom because she was acting weird, I believe she said " On the day of the festival, you'll confess and kill yourself no matter what. "I believe so because of the previous dialogue. Like " Monika was right. I should just... " I believe that could be considered a trigger ; Monika telling her to kill herself.

Actually, based on the "error script" text it's clear Monika didn't intend Sayori to kill herself nor would have told her to do so. Monika DID want to drive her away because Sayori was just a useless script standing in the way of her life and freedom while wearing the face of someone she once knew, so she most likely said something along the lines of it being better if she "Don't confess these feelings." or "It may be better if you just left for a while."
