Doki Doki Literature Club Plus vs Standard | Should I get it? (NO SPOILERS PLS)
Title. I played for a few hours now and I'm having fun, but noticed that there is a buyable version with "extra content" (6 new side stories?!).

Would you say it's important to grab it for a first playthrough? (And can I import my save from the normal version to it, so I don't have to restart if I do?)

I know this might be a hard question, since I dont want any spoilers, but I'm trying to figure out how this alters my experience without actually finding out how it changes stuff, since I'm playing blind. Lol

Thanks for any help

Thank you very much yet again. I'll finish the story first then

As for the side stories, those are unlocked via the character scenes and are a flashback to how the club was being formed, how the characters met and how their differences are explored. There’s more to the game than just the side stories, but that’s where the spoilers come in.

I’m not a fan of VN games in general, but before DDLC+ was announced I was already convinced I would purchase whatever the next title by Team Salvato would be. Rather than just seeing it as me purchasing a game I’d seen it as an investment toward future games from this company. You’ve already seen what Dan Salvato can do with a free to play game and we know he’s working on another title unrelated to DDLC.

I’m not saying you should, but if you’re interested in supporting Team Salvatos future work then getting DDLC+ is a nice bonus IMO. I enjoyed seeing the game in HD, the new music tracks and the expanded content.
