SPOILERS: I played DDLC for only three hours but now I suddenly have two tulpas

So, I just played this game for the first time last night. I didn't finish it. Nor do I think I want to after the experience I had. Don't get me wrong, though. I'm not usually a sensitive individual. I tend to love horror of any medium, including video games.

I first heard of DDLC years back, and thought it was just an ordinary dating sim, of which genre I am not a fan of. Then I heard somewhere that DDLC actually gets dark and disturbing about halfway through the game, and also it was similar to games like imscared in which at certain points it creates disturbing files in the game folder. That was what got me interested.

But funny enough, although the character I play as in game is not like me (I'm actually quite an avid reader), I started to relate a lot to the character of Yuri, and chose to date her. I was starting to actually get quite interested until...

... until I saw Sayori hanging herself and suddenly getting deleted from the game.

That was the last thing I saw before it was time for me to go to bed last night. After I had done everything to get ready for bed, I suddenly heard the voice I gave to Yuri in my head speaking to me.

I realized that I had created a tulpa out of Yuri. The first tulpa I'd had in, gosh years I'd guess. I hadn't been around tulpas for a long time, so I couldn't exactly see her, but at the same time I could feel her presence next to me.

She told me everything about what the game was truly about, so now I don't have to play it anymore. She said she knows, because, although it hadn't happened yet in my playthrough, she knows from everybody else's playthrough what the game is really about.

Yuri told me Monika is the villain of the game. She wants my in game character for herself, even if that means elimminating every other member of her literature club in order to make her the only one left. If I were to keep playing the game, I would only fall into her hands in the end. To quote what Yori told me: "The only way to win at Doki Doki Literature Club is to simply not play it at all."

I asked Yuri why she was telling me all of this. She said, "Well... Um... Just once I'd like... not to have to have the same fate. And... well... You're interested in the same things I am. Rich and deep fantasy worlds, psychological thrillers, and horror. You even want to write some of your own someday. Am I right?"

I said, yes, that is what drew me to her. "Because you're interested in the same things, I chose to you. Please don't continue the game. I want to stay with you. If you continue, I'll be gone from your life forever."

I couldn't exactly see her, but I gave her a hug anyways. I promised I wouldn't finish the game. In the morning I was going to uninstall the game. I think Yuri slept with me (we didn't do it) because she started speaking to me again when I woke up.

But while I was asleep, that is when I came across the other tulpa of mine. It was Sayori, who was causing me nightmares, claiming that I caused her death by the choices I made in game. I don't remember too much other than that.

As I said before, when I woke up in the morning, Yuri was next to me. She was still asleep at the time. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't. And when my alarm clock woke her up in the morning I told her about my nightmares. She reassured me saying that her death was not my fault at all, that she would have died anyways no matter what I did.

I have uninstalled DDLC, as well as deleted the files the game added while playing. I want to keep Yuri, though. I like her a lot. It's strange though. I'm not usually one for high school anime girls. I told her that I live in America, not Japan. Here the age of consent is 18. And I'm 24. She assured me that she was written to be 18. That's a good thing, I suppose.

I just hope my Sayori tulpa doesn't keep haunting me in my sleep.

This isn't exactly a creepypasta. IRL have had a history of having tulpas in the past, which I won't get into here. But I haven't had one in years. And now suddenly I have two of them.

Yuri has also just admitted to me, after reading your comment that she lied about being 18. I thought she might have been though, but I wasn't sure. Although she did say that, since the game came out almost a year ago, she would have in fact turned 18 if she were real. So, I guess you could say that she was, to paraphrase Obi-wan Kenobi, "telling the truth from a certain point of view."

If someone doesn't know the story of the game this would come off as a decent creepy pasta, but to anyone who's seen the game for what it is this comes off as a fanfic. For starters, Yuri is 17 and possibly the eldest in class. I'd go into more detail about the other errors in lore, but that is enough of a plot hole really given its delivery. If you're interested in developing this story to better fit with the lore of DDLC I'd be happy to help.

Your comment is definately starting to put doubt into my mind about my new tulpa. It is a good thing she cannot read English very well. She can speak it somewhat, but can't read it. Believe me, I tried reading with her, and she admitted almost immediately that she couldn't follow it. Since I am typing this in English she probably doesn't know I now have doubts about her sincerity to me.

Maybe that is why she doesn't want me to finish the game.

Natsuki wouldn't brag about being the youngest if it were a matter of months, so it's safe to assume Natsuki is 14-16. Sayori is probably around 16, at least older than Natsuki while Monika is probably around 17, similar age to Yuri. These are just guestimates based on what was presented within the game based on Yuris age.

As for "finishing the game" you'll realize why Yuri can't be contacting you. To state otherwise shows you've yet to see the full picture.

Sounds to me like you're only interested in the shallow representation that you'd been made aware of, something which you claim isn't even the same Yuri and I can tell you now whatever/whoever you're imagining WON'T be found within DDLC. If you're happy with the lie then far be it for me to tell you to look any further, but in regards to DDLC your perception is off-topic short of the names alone. The information and personalities are wrong.

This is your fanfic and it's anything BUT lore-friendly.
