Doki Doki Literature Club

" Afterimage of a Crimson Eye" by Yuri
I see a crimson world, my eyes wide open
A quick glance but I'm instantly burned
Eyes blinking. Mind racing. Heart beating
Body pulsing. Stomach churning. Face tingling
I can't escape it. I can't fight it.
It takes hold of me. It controls me. It is me
I feel. Compulsive
I think. Repulsive
I act. Impulsive
I want it
I don't
I do
It's receding. It's reality. It's me
I collapse. I breathe
I'm sorry. It's ok
I try to forget. I try to resist. I remember
Permanently stained in my mind
The afterimage of...a...crimson...eye

I can notice some involving deep meaning in that, it convinces me to take a while for consider it. After all that is what I could call art! Are you in favor? Just Yuri

I like it, but it seems a bit too "open" when compared to Yuris other poems. This seems less about symbolism and metaphors and more about "let me recap what happens when she glitches". Even taking into account the reader might be oblivious to her glitching out the format looks more like something Monika would write. Yuri tends to stick to sentence structure while Monika is more about visual stimuli.

Yuri: "I tend to write longer poems."

Monika: "I like playing with my space on paper."
Yeah, that is obvious. Poems mods make the rules of writting by their own ;) . However it still suits her fine. If you curious or interested in, that one is from The Festival mod...not the best one to be honest, after all has a lot of disturbing elements. But still better than majority of mods. Especially those about Yuri

I need to try a new mod. I'm not interested in anything that turns DDLC into a normal VN or chooses to ignore what happens in the "second half" because, at that point, it's not DDLC anymore.
I could recommend you some but it would be better to know which girl do you adore the most? Cuz there is a lot of awful and horrible mods which main point is just intensify your sadness or whatever. Its properly to avoid that kind of stuff :P

Just Monika, but I enjoy mods where the developer looks into DDLC as a whole and essentially turns their theory into a game story. The Purist Mod and True Literature Club are good examples of this, though TPM is a hard mod to beat because it goes beyond expectations and has it's own messages to deliver.
Yeah that is accurately point of this mods. I have passed The Purist Mod as well about some months ago and surprisingly I have joy it so much despite of a lot of misconceptions in plot and some annoying habits of characters. I chose Yuri as my target...and I have to admit that this mod was one of the best i have ever finished. Unfortunately many of them aim on move dokis to real life. What comes...to my mind...a bit too far :P. Now you convinced me to play True Literature Club mod...because that one which I am playing right now ( The Festival ) is absolutely not in my taste. I want to get other love story about Yuri but instead of it I got another portion of depression

TLC is a fairly short mod. It mainly just alters the Sunday event and allows for the festival. There's even an option to play through the first 3 poems with a brief text about who liked, loved or hated the poem after each minigame.
Is short you say....okey then, so I will give it a look but gonna still stay with my mods schedule

While the hints at the end of each characters run are pretty open about it, the trick to unlocking Monikas route is to make sure each character loved your poems at least once and at no point did anyone hate your poems. Fair warning though, this is probably the scariest depiction of her character I've seen. It stays true to the base story as I feel it didn't really change her character, but due to the "perspective" of the situation things get intense.
