True Literature Club is mostly happy endings, though "one" is a little terrifying. Nothing really sad in it and it's a short play. It mostly just changes what happens after the Sunday choice.

The Purist Mod has good endings for each of the characters, but it's gotta have the saddest finale of any mod I've seen. Sure, the final ending was powerful and fitting and really brings things to a bittersweet conclusion, but still really sad IMO.
It's a lighthearted story set in an alternate timeline where the main character never joined the literature club. It has routes for all of the characters, and multiple endings. It even has a happy ending for Monika in it.
Along with that, Monika still knows that you, the player, are there, but she's not the way that she was in DDLC. She's not killing anyone to get some time with you. And Sayori mentions her depression at one point in her route, but she never kills herself in this mod. And it's implied that Yuri is still a masochist. It may be a bit more lighthearted and upbeat than the original DDLC, but the characters are still the same ones you got to know in DDLC.
I made the mistake of going into that mod expecting a happy ending
And I was had.
