Am i the only who thinks Natsuki's abuse is exaggerated?

I'm not sure if it's me, but i noticed how in most save the dokis stories Natsuki's home life tend to be exaggerated. By that i mean Natsuki's dad tends to be one dimensionally evil that he would sometimes go so far as to attempt to sexually assault Natsuki that i often wonder how Natsuki hasn't ever developed a fear of men. Sometimes he's usually just there for the reader to engage in Mortal kombat with her dad. By that i mean they usually has the reader getting into a fist fight with her dad. Not that i'm against seeing a good ol fight scene.

And no i am not talking about act 2 so much as how the exaggerated abuse tends to happen in a AU where Monika isn't sentient and DDLC universe expanded on its own and its usually common in shipping fics. Ever time i see it, i'm always reminded of those naruto fanfics that exaggerate his treatment in his childhood by the village because of his jinchurriki status. It usually gets to the point where Dadsuki is reduced to a Saturday morning cartoon villain.

I sometimes wonder how ACT 1 Natsuki would react

I guess it's a bit exagerated. But like

-Natsuki has a pretty agressive personality over her cute one (they usually get agressive from past experiences)
-Natsuki is short af, which can either be caused by a medical thing or the fact that she isn't properly fed
-Her dad would kill her if she brings a boy or manga home. I'd understand the boy part (overprotective dad), but the manga part kinda means he wants her girl to be perfect and the way he wants, not the way SHE wants.

I guess it's exagerating with the beating and sexual part, but one thing for sure, it makes up for a great mod

Who knows? Her father being neglectful and not feeding her enough is probably all true because of her growth issues. But that poem talking about how she likes it when he's "too tired to do anything" makes it seem like she wants him to stay away from her, so there's probably some abuse too. Other than that, can't really tell anything about how bad it is.

Tbh would have been nice to have seen her father be more fleshed out instead of being the stereotypical “bad neglectful father figure”. It would have been wayy more impacting if he could have some sort of reason why he neglects his daughter, even a sob story would be better than just “oh he’s bad”
