MatPat thinks there's a DDLC spin-off?

In Game Theory's recent video about Petscop, MatPat mentions anticipation of a DDLC spin-off. Now, there are always people wanting to do this or that fan project--but I wouldn't expect a guy with that notoriety and with that general a focus on gaming to make a comment in advance of something that wasn't official. Is there any truth to the notion of a DDLC official spin-off work around the corner? I couldn't find anything in my searches.

Nope.MatPat did a theory on DDLC a little while back and now he's just sticking to his story. It's been officially said that there is no more content planned for DDLC or any of its characters.

There's link to another Team Salvato project, but it's not related to DDLC.
DDLC only has some referrences to it, the chances of their being any connection between them is most likely slim.

They're almost definitely related to the game Team Salvato is working on, but that game isn't related to DDLC. The secrets are easter eggs that show quotes and stuff from the next game. It's perfectly fine to get hyped, but we shouldn't be expecting more DDLC content right now.
