My Friend Named Himself Libitina And This Happened...
So me and my friend were playing DDLC when I decided we should name ourself "Libitina" in the game. If you don't know about the connection the name Libitina has to the game I suggest you watch Game Theories two videos about the DDLC theories.

So after we named ourself Libitina the game crashed. We freaked out and I told him to open the game again. Once he did Sayori popped up and she was upset. She began saying "No..." and then the game crashed again. We opened it and it simply said END

We just thought this was interesting and something we should share because it shows a possible connection to the Libitina/ Yuri theory and that the characters could know about Project Libitina, http://projectlibitina.com/

The game does not react to specific names in any scenario. There are other changes you can make to game files to cause this behaviour but it is unrelated to any easter eggs.

Im guessing Monika was deleted at the beginning, then.

Im guessing Monika was deleted at the beginning, then.
We didn't delete Monika. That's why we thought this was interesting because we hadn't done anything before we started the game and this happened. With all the things hidden in this game I think it's possible that naming yourself Libitina could effect it

The code has been decompiled, shaken down, stripped, killed, and probed completely, it never checks for names.

The scene you described (ch0_kill) only occurs if monika.chr is not detected in the game folder at the beginning of script-ch0.rpy. I can 100% confirm that the game does not check for any names and no special triggers will occur by doing anything special during the name entry screen (other than deleting the file).

I was thinking of naming myself "Monika" or "Just Monika", but this sounds more interesting.

I tried naming myself Libitina. The game started as usual. I'm slightly disappointed.

Excuse me? I’m not messing with anyone I was serious. Why would I joke about that? I was trying to see if it happened to anyone else. I guess it’s just something that messed up with my friends game
