A thought about Natsuki's end. *Spoilers*

Players who have played the game know that Monika was manipulating the game and corrupting the other girls' code in order to exacerbate their flaws to the point of self destruction.

Sayori's severe depression leads to her hanging herself and Yuri's self mutilation leads to her stabbing herself. However, Natsuki's end was different compared to the other two. She glitches out and looks like a possessed girl with a broken neck before leaping at the screen.

Monika makes Sayori and Yuri's deaths seem to come naturally from their mental illnesses in attempt to hide her involvement and in order to make them unappealing to the player. Natsuki's end was just bizarre and without reason.

I believe Natsuki's end was an unintentional mistake by Monika. She probably had some storyline prepared that would have lead to her death like the first two girls. For example, her dad unexpectedly appears and beats her to death, she runs away in a panic and falls down the stairs or is hit by a truck, she can't stand it anymore and jumps out the window, or something else similar that would lead to her neck getting broken.

After Sayori and Yuri's playthrough the game has become too destabalized by Monika's tampering. By the time the player is playing Natsuki's story the game has become FUBAR. Instead of showing the part of the story that ends in her death the game just glitches Natsuki straight to her broken neck state before it crashes.

After Natsuki, Monika was probably starting to lose control of the game. At this point she probably thought "Screw This!" and just found it easier to delete everything but herself and the room. Any further modifications to the game probably would have risked Monika's own code and threatened to make the game unplayable which would have made it impossible for Monika to have the player alone with her.

I have put way too much time in thinking about this. :P

After reading this I would love to hear opinions on my theory.

I too wish that more was added to Natsukis character. She’s by far my favorite and it disappointed me that she didn’t get a proper ‘ending’. I definitely dont want her to die, but it’s most fitting to the games atmosphere. I like the ideas you suggested for her death. They seem like realistic says it could happen

I just wrote that off as a game "glitch" due to her involvement as Natsuki was fine again in the next scene as opposed to that being an "ending" to her.
