How long until it gets interesting?
I have been playing the game for aprox.20 mins (I am a very fast reader). I am at the first fight between girls, after the forst poetry reading.

I know the game has great reviews, I know it is supposed to get more into horror, and a friend of mine recommended it... but when exactly does it get interesting and are the game options as limited and the interaction as small as in this first part?

It really would think this is not the game for me, but before I uninstall I thought I might just ask.

Normally around 2-3 hours in, depends on how fast you are reading. It's a visual novel, so don't expect much "gameplay".

It takes a while before things get twisted, but in my opinion its worth it because the game throws curves at you that you wouldnt expect (granted you dont know a single thing about the game before playing). So I would reccomend just pushing through and playing the game to the end. To me its a great game.

Thanks guys. That was most helpful.

I own several visual novels (some in Steam), but I enjoyed them more than this one. I am not sure I am ready to invest 2-3 hours to see if I like this. :steamsad:

You got a little more, then your first run will end.

Just use an autoclicker and you can skip through the first 3 hours in a couple minutes. You really don't miss anything in Act 1 anyways. I wouldn't recommend using one for the later acts though. The game sometimes catches and will skip massive amounts of text including certain scenes if you use it so you will miss most of the game if you use it past Act 1 (Act one doesn't have anything wierd for a long time and nothing story relevant/entertaining).

Well... I'll say that I haven't seen many people that have finished it unsatisfied. Also the first act is not meant to be skipped. It's there for a reason, and that's not to "trick" the player.

Lol no. Don't skip it, it's important for setting up the mood and getting familiar with the setting/characters..

Eh, I didn't skip through the entire thing but if you aren't interested in it all, you can still pick up most everything. A lot of the character development doesn't really matter that much if you aren't interested in that part of the game. Depending how fast you can read, you can still kind of pick up what's going since an autoclicker just makes it go by insanely fast. As someone who isn't interested in visual novels, it can still give you close to the same experience without the parts that you aren't interested in. If you didn't know the game got wierd, then yeah, don't skip the first part. If you already know it gets wierd and don't like the VN dating sim part, might as well just skip it right?

LOL.

Thanks guys. I still haven`t unistalled it and I just spoke to my friend (who got recommended the game by a third friend). He is taking the game at daily 15 mins periods as he isn`t fond at all of the Dating part. I might wait to see how he does. And I might do as The Devil`s ♥♥♥♥ suggests and autoclick.

I am enjoying your comments, and that is actually making me more interested in the game :)

Some people take hours to play this crap to get to the horror stuff?? Lmao, might as well just watch a horror movie instead in the meantime. I dunno, Im about at the same part as you, and the writing's not doing it for me. Kinda simplistic and isnt subverting any expectations

It`s comforting to know someone else feels the same, Red Son. :steamhappy:

Honestly, it just feels overhyped cause its cute anime girls, but like, the idea is not all that greatly executed, and I've seen this gimmick of 'game messes with your files' executed even in crap like ImScared, I think just watching an edited version of somebody playing this on youtube but without the boring parts would be a more rewarding experience

Actually... that is a good idea.

The game itself mocks Visual Novels and even copies the generic character tropes. The first act is important to the story set-up, and for you to care about the characters' feelings is important for the game to be truly disturbing. The horror elements happen at the 3rd day, or the day before the festival. After that, all hell breaks loose

Takes too long in my opinion
