Colours

Those colours that do surround me,
The most vibrant, most hazy colours,
The least violent circumstance,
Although I find my self, trapped, within this dimension,
Of colours.

Of absolute reds and yellows, to the dim whites that circle me,
From the hasty green flourish that festoons me, grasping my attention,
As well as the deep blues that envelop me,
Still - they all fall victim to the black,
The pitch black mass that amends me, blinds me,
Brings my uncertainty to a rise,
Until I scream for its refusal in my deprication and impedence,
Yet no sound hearkens from my lips,
No solace in vibration can draw the wavelengths from that of mine own,
I am weak, weak against the black.
At length, a crack -
An opening! a ways of my escape?

The dark shroud crumbles around me.

I am astounded,
My saviour apparent in their coming,
Yet I find myself, once more,
Within the same dimension,

Of colours.
