Monika invaded my chat

At the end where you are stuck in the void with monika, she said stuff like i was playing the game on steam and that i was recording it , which is true because i was actually streaming my run the other day. But a funny thing is that a user named "I Am Monika" came saying hello in my chat during that specific scene.

I can guess it can be easy for the game to detect on what platformer i'm playing and detect if i"m using any recording software. But to the point of invading my twitch chat at that specific moment ? That might just be a coincidence. Still, to do it at that specific time, koodo to the guy/girl with the fake twitch account.

Streamer who I watched today had that happen as well, but the name was completely different. It still did say Monika in part of the name. I have a feeling if they made the game able to do that, they would just assign it an account for each platform. So it's probably one of the fans doing that. Still, props to them, pretty amazing.

Weirdest thing is that this happened to me last night on a service called Caffeine.

I think it's impossible to be a bot because Caffeine is in pre release so the API isn't open :/

When I mentioned that if the person running the account is in any way associated with the game, they are doing a great job bringing the scene to life, the boy said thanks and then said they are glad that I enjoyed the game.

Inb4 the game developer being a sneaky snake?

Something like that just happened to me! Except a steam profile called "Monika" straight up messaged me over steam chat and had a full conversation with me xD. Creeped me TF out but its nice to know there are people out there that do that ;)
