Is there a way to full reset?
I finished the game a first time (until the last leter from monika) and tried screwing around by deleting characters in a "fresh" run (removing the firstrun file) . However I imediatly get the suicide screen with an END that lets no other choice than start over.
But I saw a thread saying that if you delete all .char but Monika BEFORE finishing Act 1; a special route is available. So is it true and if so, is there a way to truly reset the game such that it doesnt know that you played it?

As I said, I already tried to remove the firstrun file but it only allows me to start over the "regular" path

unfortunately that's the only way to reset the game. the game is linear so special routes are out of the question.

I think you're focusing on the wrong thing, here!

You should just start a new game after seeing "END" and worry about this another time. Who knows, maybe if you do that, something special will happen in the next run!

So, I deleted and reinstalled the game, and it somehow knew where I left off and asked if I wanted to continue. So, I deleted again. This time, I went into the Steam folders and erased everything involving DDLC before reinstalling. It asked again. Frustrated, I uninstalled again. I went to Steam and deleted the files. Then I searched the computer for all files related to "Doki Doki," and deleted those, too. Satisfied, I reinstalled. But... It still knows... How? How does it still know what happened!?

There's a persistent save file in the appdata of your computer user.

In my computer is in C:\Users\Heduardo\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\DDLC-1454445547
