Most of it comes from the unsettling and uncanny. I really can't give examples, obviously, but... let's just say that I feel the warnings are justified.
i mean. what
thats not weird at all. please TwT
But its more the unsettling atmosphere and disturbing imagery that drives this without saying too much about what happens
... or "clowns." That's weird.
But yeah, if you decide to stop, no one's judging. I hope you have fun.
It's fun to play at night just to pass the time
you should take the warnings seriously. If you feel highly uncomfortable, very very insecure or suffer from mental instability, please consider reading the warnings here (but care, !!!!spoilers!!!! - only read if you know youre unstable and/or suffering from mental disorders): http://ddlc.moe/warning.html
theres also a thread about potential triggers that arent listed on that site (same, !!!spoilers):

if youre just curious about the game and just a bit afraid, you should be fine ;) the game shouldnt cause any harm if you arent already scarred or at least highly sensitive to disturbing stuff.
Exactly. If you're just nervous about the game, it's not that bad. But if you have issues with depression or something like that, it can be very distressing. Someone mentioned... I forget what she had issues with. I think paranoia and keeping a grip on what is real, if that makes sense? This game can really push those kind of buttons. There's only a little blood, but the game gets very creepy.
