Text bug [SPOILER WARNING] [SOLVED]
I played through the game once and everything was alright, but now a week later, some of the dialogue and menu options are all squares, and the main menu picture looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/30PSh

What should I do to solve this issue?

Keep playing, you didn't finish the game.

I did finish one route (though I won't post spoilers), but I can't play more if the text looks like that.

It's not a bug. Just click on the squares, where the "New Game" option was.
MoonlightDeity Oct 25, 2017 @ 2:07pm
It's not? But I get the same squares and symbols in the dialogue. Is this really supposed to happen?
MoonlightDeity Oct 25, 2017 @ 2:09pm
This is what I see if I try to start a new game; https://imgur.com/a/LsB98

And the screen keeps flickering

That's also supposed to happen, keep clicking. You'll see a lot of graphical glitches, it's normal. Some text will be unreadable, but most of it will be normal and the story will continue.

Hm, alright I'll believe you for now, but I still think the text part should be fixed. It puts me off -.-
Halo Oct 25, 2017 @ 2:15pm
You haven't reached the end of the game until you reach the credits of the main game.
You just finished part 1 (ending 1), you must click the messed up text to continue on to part 2.

All graphical glitches, text glitches, and anything messing up the UI is intentional.
All squares and glitched out dialogue is all apart of part 2 of the game.
It is annoying yes, but you'll understand as you progress, just keep clicking.

If you payed attention to what Monika says near the end of part 1
you would have understood why part 2 of the game is all glitched out.

If they were to fix it it'd kinda ruin the point of a psychological horror VN...

Also, I suggest having the game folder open as you play as well,
or you'll miss a lot information that the game gives you through the folder.

Well, I did something to fix it at least. Maybe it would have been better the way it was, but I really couldn't stand it. I guess I can change it again in the future

Fixing it only ruins the immersion the game is trying to create, but you do you.
Trust me if you had kept it the way it was, you would probably enjoy it a lot more.

It's an intentional in-game mechanic that is actually used in many other games similar to this one.
But opinions, opinions.

There is a way to change it back, right? Haven't tried but maybe I should
MoonlightDeity Oct 25, 2017 @ 2:30pm
At the very least, if I reinstall the game progress should be reset completely?

No idea, you shouldn't have messed with it in the first place.
I'm not the support team so good luck.
MoonlightDeity Oct 25, 2017 @ 2:33pm
They should have put this in the readme files if it was intended... But I found a way to reset it without too much trouble. ^^ Thanks for helping me

It's not over until you see the credits.

You didn't finish a "route." You finished "Part 1." The rest of the "glitchy" looking stuff is part of the second act.
