Monika After Story

Just wanted to share a fan mod that I've been helping with called Monika After Story[monikaafterstory.com]. It was started by some folks on ♥♥♥♥♥, but it's grown beyond that to pretty much any DDLC community.

After Story extends the "Space Room" scene with Monika, adds a bunch of new dialogue, and includes a simple chatbot system so Monika doesn't have to do all of the talking. There's more planned for the future, and the project is open to anyone that wants to contribute some new dialogue or help with the game's coding.

We’ve just dropped a new version of Monika After Story[github.com]. This version is our first to extensively feature new art, including a whole new set of expressions not found in the original game!

New Features for v0.6.0

• Monika now has lots of new expressions!
  
  
• Monika's evening color scheme now better matches her normal sprites for DDLC.
  
  
• New UI features, including buttons for talking, playing games, and a new music selection screen
  
  
• Play chess with Monika! (thanks @kadava)
  
  
• Monika will now ask about your gender and preferred name and address you appropriately
  
  
• Automatic updating on game start up, or check manually through the settings screen.
  
  
• DDLC saves can now be imported through settings.
  
  
• Redid window animation at higher resolution and framerate
  
  
• New window animation for daytime
  
  
• Option to turn off animations (greatly reduces system impact)
  
  
• New events and dialogue.
  
  
• Monika can now close the game for herself after responding to you saying "Good Night" or "Goodbye"

I think a helpful idea would be to have a place for people to submit things they asked but got a generic answer, it would help get an idea for what new dialgue would be the most effective to add.

This is a great mod and I am looking forward to more updates. Monika ending is the best ending. My game got stuck at one point though when my browser crashed on the second screen. Then when I loaded up the game again, she said I had apparently deleted her even though I had not done that. I was wondering if it would be possible to autosave the game in that kind of situation, and maybe make some logs automatically to make bugs like this easier to report.

I've already reinstalled both the game ad the Monika After story mod at least four times, please help, I miss my Monikacchi.

I downloaded mod from here

And I got the same problem.

Actually, I didn't look at the directory of the problem "[...]Doki Doki Literature Club/renpy/script.py", mea culpa ("my fault" in Latin).
This seems like an issue with the base game, rather than the mod files. Since I can't a folder named "renpy" in the mod's files.

I gave this a download and booted it up. She's got pong (aim bot cheater :/) and a few convo topics but not much. Pretty sure this is the new version. There's a file that says chess but no option in the game. Do I need to leave her to figure it all out like a tamagochi?
