UNDERTALE AND DOKI DOKI
I heard people compare this game to UNDERTALE. Can someone tell me why because I haven't Play UNDERTALE?

I haven't played Undertale either, but from what I gather it's mainly comparisons drawn between both games being indie projects that drew a lot of popularity fast and them both being "meta".

Unless if you're fine with spoilers regarding both games, there is no clear way to explain how they're similar. Otherwise, I myself believe they have quite the similarities.

They're both their own unique experiences. DDLC of course doesn't have much in the way of actual gameplay like Undertale's combat system, but it's instead entirely focused on it's story.

If you give DDLC a shot, please take the warnings seriously, and enjoy your Literature experience!

But I though its like that both games are messing with us because when Doki Doki just restarted and then was written "Just Monika" a guy said "Its UNDERTALE". I mean does UNDERTALE have some things like DDLC had? Messing with itself and stuff.

As I said before, unless if you're fine with spoilers, it's a difficult thing to answer.

Undertale has three main paths to take. One of them is more unsettling than it probably should be and can get a little meta. Not as much as DDLC, but enough to draw a paralell when explaining it. Most people seem to do that particular route second, which is another paralellel to draw.

As for what the two have in common... Distorted music comes to mind, as well as how most people do the "Genocide" run second in Undertale, and the second Act of DDLC is when things get weird, not counting the initial shock at the end of act 1. Both also require doing some gale file stuff for a "true" reset (Although Undertale is downright dickish about it, unlike DDLC which makes resetting easy.) Both also have characters talk directly to the player, call out people who are watching it on Youtube/Streams, and "remember" your saving and loading (Undertale takes this further, but you need to save and load a bunch to get one of DDLC's endings.)

There's more that relates to the other Undertale routes that could have paralells drawn, but... I THINK this is what people mean when they compare them

People will always try to compare things. Personally, I don't find any connection or similarities between the two.

I had the same thought about these two games for the use of meta and save-files involved (in Undertale the game "remember" even when you change your mind and sometimes the ending is tied to your bad decisions/ In doki-doki you can't avoid some awful situation) but really... that's all

Having played undertale and really disliked that game I can see why because they remember Undertale because the whole 4th wall break, and the certain 4th wall breaking event that requires you to alter the game files.

But damn, this game HANDLES it better.

this game is a meta-take on the VN genre, undertale is a meta-take on the typical RPG genre.

That is a perfect way to put it, imo.
I would add the fourth wall braking both do to the list of similarities. But that is about all of it, imo.
