Act 3 bug / savegames

So I played to the end (?) of Act 3 where an elevator is unusable because I couldn‘t interact with it. After reloading the game wants me to start at the beginning of Act 3, needless to say I was „disappointed“ ;).

It there a resource online with savegames or could someone provide an Act 4 savegames? I am not willing to do all the puzzles again, thanks.

It happened to me too on the same chapter

There is very few checkpoints in act 3, you have to run though it in one sitting. The next checkpoint is at the start of act 4 (you will get an achievement once you reach it).

I think there is some kind of soft checkpoint system too so you won't the entire chapter progress when dying but don't close the game or they will be lost.

Problem is that I don‘t want to play the Act all over again only to have the same bug again at the very end. So maybe it‘s possible to use an Act 4 save game.

I play the GamePass version so it seems there is no local savegame, the saveGames folder doesn't exist and creating it and placing the savegame there doesn't help, the game only shows my old saves ingame. Need to check if the saves are located elsewhere or cloud only, that would suck.

you can save by just quitting to the menu.

And if you save the file just saved to, you essentially start a list of manually saved files

True, but if you accidentally load the last save game, you lose your autosave and start at the beginning of the chapter.

Just press continue and it took you to the last place you were when you quitted.
I died by the acid in the second chapter and restarted from the start, then i moved some meters away and quitted to make something else and when i click continue i found myself in the exact spot i was when i quitted.
