I thought maybe scorn guy was effectively sperm moving through the world. Seeing all the other sperm fall by the wayside. The fact the final two borgs we haunt appear pregnant sort of suggests we completed them and moved them forward to birth or something.
Wasps will inject eggs into insects and their progeny will eventually eat their way out. I was wondering if perhaps we were the insect and the parasite was something else's progeny waiting to be born. The purpose of our journey was to bring the parasite to where it belonged.
Then the meaningless ending kicked in and the whole adventure turned out to be pointless.
well the Dev's picked a accurate title.
You will get why its called Scorn after playing it, Because you will have scorn for Scorn.
My assumption about removing the guts is that the bodies can become husks in future.
Man(?) strapped to esoteric (alien, unknowable) device having his guts ripped out: "damn, what the heck! This is actually kind of a ♥♥♥♥ move!"
Regarding the brain, they have to connect the brain of the creature/person into the network, so no more need of a body in a certain extension, after being able to connect to the network, Scorn Guy #2 can use the Puppets to do what he needs, BUT the arm removed and placed on your Puppet to keep stabbing is to keep you "alive", to know that you still have a body in there, so if anything happens, you can go back, the body need a stimulus, without it, it will die.
On the second part, when the Puppet is attacked before the Parasite attacks Scorn Guy #2, maybe the place had a bad connection with the network because of that portal, so when the Puppet is attacked, it might have lost the connection OR just like some machines in our planet, if there is a suddenly shake, it might "break".
I hope that helps you and that I make some sense of it :)
An important thing to note is that both the movement speed and the speed the arm operates on the body slows the closer you get to the portal, so yeah it's most likely either theres som kind of interference or he's losing connection.
I figured that the blade thing was some sort of stimuli thing going on but for the purpose I wasn't quite sure.
I'm wondering if it's right to say that both protagonists had the same goal to get to the gate when it's obvious that protagonist 2 brought a parasite protagonist 1 to the gate himself after the possession. The gate and surgical equipment are all at the same place. His goal was to cure himself, yet the mutation went too far, and he just didn't make it in time.
The parasite was a predator looking for a prey, and that's probably it. And it was pretty pissed after its surgical removal. It then returned to get the only living body left back. All that mutation liquid just can not stop giving me the Prometheus vibes. The purpose of this liquid might be a fuel. In the beginning of the game you put this liquid containers into the machine and every time you do that something opens. OR it's just for the conditioning purposes, lol. Can't tell why they used this mutating liquid at all, since it's VERY dangerous. 1 mistake and it went all over, mutating everything in its way.
Might be a catalyst for creating new/alternate humanforms. When used correctly, you get things like the Scorn guys. When it's not used under controlled circumstances, then its a problem.
An important thing to note is that both the movement speed and the speed the arm operates on the body slows the closer you get to the portal, so yeah it's most likely either theres som kind of interference or he's losing connection.

I think he lost connection because he was going further from that big brain he was connected to. He started losing connection with this puppet so he kept getting slower. I just dont understand why it kept getting slower because he was connected with cable so disconnecion should be fast. It looked more like losing signal.
But you program the robot to help you, pick you up and carry you the hell out of dodge. Which it starts doing, but occasionally glitching out and stabbing you.
