Station Raids?

I'm going back through for a 3rd run (hardcore this time) and just trying to get all the achievments.

Is there something that triggers a station raid? I'm up to the mothership on the third run now and I've had no raids. I keep going back to the station regularly, since I don't know what triggers them. I occasionally get an NPC asking me to buy or fix things that talks to me in the station, but that's all.

Then there's the 14 achievments I can't see :( , but one thing at a time.

Raids are randomly triggered when you leave the station. It seems that your level have to be high enough for them to happen (in my case earliest raid I've seen was at lvl 8). Worst of all - they are rare.

Ugh, thanks for the info. All 3 of my people are lvl 10. I thought maybe I was too high. I spent half an hour after I posted the question just leave/return over and over.

Did you succeed? Now I am trying to trigger that raid and still have some RNG events achievement that don't want to pop - up...

Do you have DLC for that? I completed game multiple times and usually had a couple of raids per run. For me it was much harder to find some high level quests achievements. Some quests I've never received yet. I do tend to skip level 8-9 derelicts with some teams.
