Scrap Palace?

On my 2nd Mission, Found two tiles labeled "scrap palace" locked out and red with a guy that you can work for/ trade with/ attack.

How do I get in to those red areas?

You can even do missions for them if they offered you. There are three types, that i´ve seen so far, the one that let you talk with him, pirates that either you attack or retreat and hive nests, that are the same as pirates. Every time you take the option to attack you have to take several waves of enemies and after you vanquish all of them you have access to the rooms.

I was considering attacking which probably unlocks those squares, but then i remembered all the attacking i did on death wardens and decided i didnt want to start a war that lasted the entire playthrough again :)

Are the habitations isolated from each other, or does attacking them each time eventually cause them all to be hostile before you even visit?

They are independent little colonies or camps of scavengers isolated from the rest of the derelicts. They don't have any relation to each other that i've seen so far.
