No Location Data on Derelicts

I've gotten stuck in my campaign around level 5, as both my current Location Data Quests are impossible to complete (as far as I can tell). The derelicts in question are Esseach and Absolution. I have scanned the entire derelict, killed the settlers, explored every corner of the ship, and yet there is no location data. As such, I can't move forward at all. Anybody encountered this issue or have a solution?

Are the missions still to locate the data?

If that's the case, do you remember which steps you have taken so far on those derelicts? Which characters have you talked to, and are there any named consoles on the ship?

I might be able to remember what to do on each quest, if I get clues to which one it is. I have done them all many times, except the new ones from the new DLC.

I can't recall at this point who I've talked to, except there was a settlement which I destroyed and there is a console which refills energy, scans, etc. but no named consoles or other points of interest to my knowledge.

Some questgivers or "data holders" may be disguised as enemies (red triangles), including Prophets and such. Try chasing them down as well, just to be sure.

No blank triangles or circles are left on the derelict either? Or if they are, all options are exhausted? No other quest info in the Mission tab than "locate the data"?

Hey, if it's still relevant, please send a bug report to [e-mail] with a brief description of the issue, your save file and your output_log.txt (\Users\<your account>\AppData\LocalLow\Snowhound\Deep Sky Derelicts\) - and we will look into it for you. Thanks.

I have also made a Walkthrough thread which maybe includes the mission you're talking about. The quests and the derelicts are randomized, so it is difficult to help without a detailed description of what you have talked about and with whom, so far on that derelict.

i have exactly the same issue. i found a named console that is not cooperating, you can kick it out of frustration (fittingly), then it is just gone from the map. i haven't killed the settlers yet, is it possible that mission related stuff is in their compound?

In my experience, no. I killed the settlers too and there was still nothing at all to interact with on the map. It seems the devs are willing to help though, as you probably saw above. It just seemed like too much of a hassle for me to deal with. Since there wasn't a quick fix, I just moved on with my life.

Just to stress it again, some of the derelicts (and their respective location data missions) don't have retrievable location data intentionally, by design. To make sure if such is your case or you've encountered a bug, please check the mission status description on the mission log and try to report to the sub-governor at the base despite having been unable to retrieve the data. If you are still stuck after that (no new derelicts get unlocked), then it's likely a bug, which we'd like you to report to us via email [e-mail] (don't forget to include your save file and, preferably, also an output_log.txt). I explored a ship and I couldn't find location data too. I am confused.

I remember situation when I came back to overseer of the station and reported that there was no data on the deralict. Have you tried that?

There are some derilicts which do not have any data. You just report that fact to the sub governor.

Same trouble. Very frustrated. Can't find save game file to email to support. Not worth it to start the process of going back and forth to get the help I need to email the file to get the help. Too bad, this is a fun game, but the updates have made it a bit more unstable apparently. Very frustrating to get 7 hours into the gameplay before you learn that your campaign is irretreivably screwed.
