I have the GOG version though.
I'd really appreciate it if you could explain in detail how you got that working. Did you use the DOSBox version that comes with the Steam release, or a different one? I'm having trouble getting it to work myself.

I have the GOG version, it uses DOSBox 0.74 which I didn't replace.

Shortcut Start In:
"D:\GOG Galaxy\Games\Screamer 2\DOSBOX"

Shortcut Target:
"D:\GOG Galaxy\Games\Screamer 2\DOSBOX\dosbox.exe" -conf "..\dosbox_screamer2.conf" -conf "..\dosbox_screamer2_3dfx.conf" -noconsole -c exit

dgVoodoo2 settings: https://imgur.com/a/Y9qUMVJ

Note that I couldn't figure out a way to deal with the constant flickering artifacts on the road, but I grew used to them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8aOM7aioQI

Yeah, this game is a sim hiding behind an arcade mask lol. You really have to know how weight transfer and racing lines work, esp with the RWD Porsche lookalike. I'd recommend sticking to the FWD or 4WD/AWD cars for now. It's very rewarding once you figure it out though.

What I don't understand is how DRIFTING works in this game. I've watched videos and I still don't understand - when I try doing what I see in the videos I just hit the curb before the turn. Different cars don't help, the only track I (almost) always do well on is the California one because it's 90% paved road that's not making me slide all over the place.
