I'm ready for one now.

What I mean is, every time I complete a map and get a choice of 3 rewards, if it's a trap mastery reward, it's always, ALWAYS, either the dart or the spike trap. It's been a couple years since I last played, but I am pretty sure the other traps should be possible rewards too? I am on the second ascension, is the game bugged, thinking I haven't unlocked other traps?...

So, this isn't a real feature of the game, but it's something I want to try because after you unlock all campaign maps and start unlocking ethereals, as funny as it is to see some things in the game play out the way they do, it loses some of the spice and challenge of the first game. Even people running deep in ascension seem to have found ways to cheese it: So, an idea I had was to play the game like Dungeon Warfare 1, particularly when starting on an ascension because then XP rules run the same way as ...

I like Defence Grid too but this is great too and has more content.

They have so much health, and you can't slow them down at all. Literally the only way I've been able to beat any of them is hope that they get stuck on level geometry. I've used maxed out slime traps, barricades, ax traps, bolt traps,all with maximum upgrades, they are mildly inconvenienced and then walk into the portal. That is, unless they get stuck, then you can kill them. (Edited for clarity)...
