"Thief: Deadly Shadows does not support play on laptop computers."?

I noticed this in the specs. What's this about? How on earth is Thief to know the difference?

Not supported doesn't mean it won't run, but it is just warning you that it may not work optimally for whatever reason.

Considering how long ago this game came out, it's most likely that laptops simply could not support the graphical requirements of the game because of the need for DirectX functions that were only supported in standalone video cards. (This is just a guess on my part.) Modern laptops will almost certainly have no problems running this game.

Like @WidescreenRules said, it was probably referring to a time when most laptops could not handle "intensive" video games. As long as a laptop meets the game's recommended specs, it should run fairly well.

That's a pretty delightful anachronism. I hadn't figured that the system requirements they post were the unedited original specs. I'm kind of pleased.

Not sure why I'm on a computer and the Intro just keeps looping for me if I hit escape I can see the main menu for half a sec before the intro starts looping again.

This game is too old to NOT run on modern laptops.

Well that's strange because I'm on a laptop and it runs okay for me,only buggy thing is each time it loads a level or new area it shows my desktop again for a few seconds other than that it runs fine on laptop

bestnameever, is that really the only bug? I just bought this game and am in the process of downloading but I didn't do any research on it. I've seen a few comments of it not working on laptops I'm starting to get freaked out a bit. I really hope I didn't just waste my money.

Actually after playing this a bit or trying to. I get that same bug but additionally I can't save and there is no auto save. Everytime I have to start over from the tutorial. Frustrating as all inferno because I really like the game. Just wish I didn't have to start over each time I want to play it...

Yeh Same mate it it just closes when loading and opens up a few seconds later
