Yeah ... And ethe dev is non-responsive even via contact via the website.
FAAAAK!
Regardless, IMO What it can do is worth 20 bucks even tho it can't do a BUNCH of the stuff it's supposed to be able to do.
I can't get video input or network input to work either.
..
I DID use Cathodemer entirely to make this music video tho:
I'll spend more time trying to get spout to work but it's not a big deal to me as of yet.
I've tried getting it to work with Newtek's NDI as well. Again with no luck.
But yeah. To simply record the output I use OBS window or screen capture.
I don't know what happened, but Newtek NDI now works to send Cathodemer's output to other software. For me, specifically Touch Designer.
NDI is free to install. So if you're having problems with Spout (which still doesn't work) give NDI a try.
Both Spout and NDI can't be used at once tho, which I'm sure is normal function. System limitations.
As I understand, Spout is for piping video between apps on the same computer and NDI can do it over a network.
Thanks for mentioning this.
should have read this comment before purchase LMAO
The audio options need a lot of work tho. They function, but not very flexibly.
I still think it's worth 20 bucks.
