Help with Matchmaker 3, Osato Hotel Floor Solution?

I'm kind of amazed no one's made a thread about this yet, because it's put my game at a complete standstill and I can't proceed at all.

In the chapter, Osato has to input this four digit code to find out about the first floor of the hotel, and the game tells you "sometimes the simplest ideas provide breakthroughs". I have put in all of the simplest number combinations I can think of - you name it, I've tried it. 0001, 1000, 1111, 0123, 9999, 1234, among others. If this is so "simple", why the heck am I not getting it?

Someone just tell me the answer. I'm tired of this. I don't care if it makes me look stupid.

It's the same logic used behind how the floors are numbered in the high-rise apartment from Correctness. The floor (1) followed by the room number (001). Since you only have four digits to input instead of five, you know the first digit can't be a zero. I admit there could be some confusion if you assumed the zero should be the first digit followed by a two-digit room number, though.

I don't remember having any trouble with this one, but looking back on it I'm not quite sure why, as it is a little open-ended. Maybe it was something I just "felt".

I didn't even spent any time thinking about it.

However, moon door password in Match Maker got me really into googling that.

That's interesting because that one was really easy for me. Really shows you have people think differently from one another.
