Anyone have tips on beating Belzor Bloodeye?
So I have actually progressed past Belzor Bloodeye at this point with my Wizard, but I have yet to make a dent in him. Maybe I am missing something obvious? I can't turtle as he has the block breaker beams, and the little eye turrets just eat me alive.

I have 3800 health, 300 armor 70% ice resist and they melt me like I'm unprotected.

Snaping from the doors does me no good as he regrows the eyes so fast. I even tried building a little roach motel for the wandering eyes (5x5 box with a single platform in the middle... a lot of eyes get caught walking in circles) .... but he still kills me.

I feel like I am missing something obvious... or I'm no good at the game. :D

Never mind, I ended up defeating him after crafting the Staff of Elements. I still used the roach motel method which helped a lot, it kept the little walking eyes mostly off of me and walking in circles. There was a small alcove on my map on the left that was three blocks high that I was able to stand in and avoid a lot of the eye shots for the few that managed to escape the roach motels.

the roach motels and just a three sided box with a platform extending out the open end. What I found was that eyes that walk into those end up circling the platform forever. The only trick really is putting them where the eyes will be walking. when I was done with the boss there were probably well over 60 of those buggers circling the traps.

I'm having trouble against him as a warrior myself. I can burst down a ton of eyes and if lucky enough, deal a little bit of damage to the boss itself close up with a whirlwind, but the incoming damage makes me run back and the eyes respawn so quickly.

I tried a concussive blade and it just doesn't get it done. Was fighting it for literally ten to fifteen minutes without even leaving and just barely dented it.

Here is the thing I am talking about. I found that the eyes would leave the arena and just get caught looping inside of these. One on each exit ended up catching about 90% of the wandering eyes.

as a wizard it is easy, i literally stand outside the zone as he comes in range use my ancient that does aoe fire and do that everytime it is in range. I also play hardcore so i did not die. As melee, yes... I mentioned before it is much harder for melees

Do you have the skill at rank 3? My issue with that method is that at rank 2 all it does make a lot of adds.

it is not fast but easy to do, yes the eyes drop off but you are still damaging the main eye

As a necromancer I had flight and frozen skulls to thin out the enemy, stay out of their range, and a spraying wand also helped.

One thing to get done is farming up (as in magic crops) a set of crystals for your armor (adamantite), get a good deal of armor and attack power, and all the exceptional modifiers you can imagine to be useful.

I'm having a lot of trouble with this boss as a warrior. In general, it seems all the bosses are too easy for ranged, but a pain in the ass to deal with as a melee character. I can't help but feel the game's currently not balanced properly towards melee, as I often find myself in a situation where it's better to just equip some random dualblades with ranged attack than actually using making use of the melee-oriented skills and equipment I've tried to build around.

Belzor is particularly annoying. His erratic movements manage to greatly trivialize the rather short whirlwind cycle, and his eye shields respawn way too fast, plus his healthpool is humongous, resulting in needlessly long bullet-spongy encounters. My gear isn't fantastic by any means, but with comparable level gear things are SUBSTANTIALLY easier for a ranger or a caster.

gear is important but that's rather duh of me to say.. which mode are you playing, survival, descent, or HC either..
belzor is very doable with melee granted with gear that helps out.. the tabbard of air ancient lets you b"bounce" in the air when you hit an enemy, skysplit pants grant tripple jump for lots of ariel manouvers cuncussive weapons are just one way to go, but atk speed, crit chance and and base atk power play a role as well... the crystals on your gear can help tons as well, if you're playing survival you can farm your own of any type with magic crops in the survival panel.. if you don't have the gear maybe raise your luck rating some and go hunting for better drops.. it IS possible.. you can always move on till you get better gear and come back, or just reset the world and grind till you have adequate gear/ weapons/ higher lvl idk
