Can't save game.

Currently unable to play due to the fact that when I save it doesn't accually save the game. Other than that I can see my self enjoying it a lot.

Curious, what windows are you running, we've heard of people having issues with Windows 7 for loading, but not saving.

I also can not save my game data(option and character data)
I use win10 64bit PC with sufficient specs
And the worst thing is that my user folder's name is Japanese kanji (double-byte characters)

I have the same issue where it doesn't save.
either Options : changing to Fullscreen && Resolution from X to 1920x1080.
or Characters : saving doesn't work, because my character doesn't exist in the menu when I hit <Play> .

I tested on a friend's computer (less than 2 hours ago) and he managed to do what I tried
(Load in Fullscreen and See my "saved" character after a Save and return to main menu).

We both have Windows10 64bit ( I have Windows10Pro with the latest updates, I don't know his status )

I tried installing on a "physically different" SSD (don't think Partition)
from a KINGSTON SUV400S37240G to a KINGSTON SH103S3120G
didn't change a thing.

My System (from control panel)
Windows 10 Pro
processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4430 CPU @ 3.00GHz
ram : 16,0 GB (generic 2x8 Kingston)
graphic card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

I know my friend has a GeForce GTX 960, but I don't know his specs at all

Hopefully it helps you solve this issue.

I have "show hidden files enabled" (had to to find AppData).

ilb_config.txt is nowhere on my drives

I can't save game either, and ilb_config.txt doesn't appear for me, as i use convinient user name "Как всегда Андрей" in windows, so my first guess is file system code either can't resolve non standard encoding or turns path into something awkward, it's really funny that windows does not allow you to change home directory after it was created, since it's not the first time i have this issue, specifically because of fs+encoding code related problems. Migrating to utf-8 like that is not trivial task to do, but it's only way to make game playable for ones who are dumb enough to use non-latin characters in windows user names.

Can't save too.
I have win7 SP1, x86
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210M CPU @ 2.60Ghz

Path to AppData includes cyrillic letters. ILB folder there contains no files.

Game doesn't save - it doesn't crush or show any errors. Just after relaunch there are now heroes, only "create new hero" slots.
Game settings doesn't persist either. I can change for example music volume and it will work within a current session, but after relaunch all settings are back to default.

Found out it might be linked to "Characters" the type itself.

I have a " é " in my Users\...\ pathname and it doesn't save.
I made a new user on the same computer with only characters from the original 26 and it works.
Keeps Options and Saves (got in the game, saved, then saved and return to main menu and checked).

Then I checked in the last directory and the file < ilb_config.txt > and < ilb_1.sav > were there.

Can you try making a new user with just classic ASCII characters to try this out?

So David has been looking into this more and is working on a fix right now! It is going to take a day or two as its a rather large fix. I think he will add an update as well!

Same here! Cannot save game or change anything from the Options. I will be waiting for updates, this game seems to be really fun!

It's cool it's an early access game. I don't expect it to be perfect as for my windows version I am running windows 10 pro. Looking foward to the next update so I can hopefully save and dive deeper into the game :)
