The video doesn't play

The video (movie) doens't start to play ...
eg: the window pops up when i hit 'play movie' but then forever those three animated vertical lines keep on screen...

I don't have any issues with the video in the store page, it's only the movie itself... And now that i've checked it, i can't seem to get any movie anymore... nada ... this is very bizarre, i used to be able to see movies on steam (i've got a small collection of about 25 movies on steam).

What is happening, steam support says i have to post in the forums of the movie that doesn't work...

Sorry for the late response. That's a bit strange. Try this:

Windows 7 and above

Quit Steam. And I repeat, you must quit Steam, completely.

If using Windows 32-bit, download https://redirector.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/1.4.9.1088-win-ia32.zip

Unzip the downloaded file and copy the files contained in the zip file to C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Local\Steam\widevine\win-ia32\

If using Windows 64-bit, download https://redirector.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/1.4.9.1088-win-x64.zip

Unzip the downloaded file and copy the files contained in the zip file to C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Local\Steam\widevine\win-x64\

Restart Steam and attempt to play the video

i had already reinstalled the drm software ... the issue wasn't only on one pc, it suddenly was on ALL my computers, and not only i seemed to have iit, some other people seemed to have it too... drm free video's played erfectly on steam, but the drm'ed ones didn't stat to play (no datatransfer) .. other drm services worked perfect (eg; netflix)

there must've been a problem with one of the CDN servers is guess ... because after my complaint it suddenly started working again (after not working for a full week)
