In Game Save?
If you don't mind my asking would BEL-2 have an in game save feature (At least a limited number of save slots per level) similar to IGI-2: Covert Strike?

Hey,

sure you can ask whatever you want :)

BEL2 does not allow in game savefiles. For some part due to technical limitations and by design.

Thanks for your response... Does this mean that if the player is killed in the middle of a mission, he/she would have to resume the entire mission from the start? or are there in game checkpoints? I'm asking 'coz each mission would be about an hour long....

Yes you start all over again. But that's like in BEL 1 part of the game. There are a lot of paths to take, AI uses different path and so each run of a mission is unique.

Besides that there is a lower difficulty mode available, a lot of gameplay customization options and a lot of medkits available to use. If you read the terrain and use it to your advantage and do not rush blindly into a group of enemies, you won't die that fast. :)

Oh I see.. if it's not too much to ask please consider implementing limited checkpoints/save slots per mission in a future update.. Something similar to what was present in IGI-2: Covert Strike.

this is a tactical shooter i played strong hold you have to maintain your health to the max
as i worker my way through the open air part of the game so many times then you gt to a cave
so you grind your way through the first part then if you havent given up you have to trie and kill all the hidden bots there in good luck remember this is fun?

I understand creating save states can be technical, but my problem is that I cannot pass the 3rd mission without eventually getting a crash to desktop. As you can imagine, spending 30+ minutes carefully moving between objectives to only get a crash and need to restart, it gets frustrating.

If we can't get a save or checkpoint system, is there at least a way to skip current mission, or unlock all missions please? I would like to see the rest of this game, but I won't keep attempting the 3rd mission forever :)

Wait, there's no in-game save or checkpoint system? Aren't these supposed to be big, long missions? Ugh, ah well.

Yes, the game is designed around having no mid game saves.

The game only saves once a mission is completed.

And these missions can take hours to complete? Yikes, no thank you. Enjoy your game. I was about to buy it until I saw this.

This higly depends on your skill. I complete them in 10-15 minues, others need 60 minutes +

Okay that seems more reasonable, thank you. You should consider adding checkpoints or some such in your next game please. It really helps to respect a player's time.

Ppl, this game is not casual. Play it, when you have time to play. If you have to do other stuff, then pause the game and continue when its finished. Get killed, remember, learn, do better.

Most if not all modern military /tactical shooters (even hardcore/ultra realistic ones) have an in-game save/checkpoint system... and not all of us are dedicated full time gamers.... the lack of an in game save/checkpoint feature was the reason IGI: I'm Going In (pt-1) didnt do as well as it should have... I mean think about it.. when youre on the verge of completing a mission you get killed and start the entire level all over again... it's like a vicious cycle....
