It is not, there is a Discord group for the game. It gets updates fairly frequently as well. You aren't going to find too many online matches as from what I can tell this game hasn't gained enough traction to do so (hopefully yet). Playing locally with friends is also a blast.

Has anyone figured out how to play against CPUs/bots btw?! I couldn't figure it out/haven't seen an option (or couldn't let them join with a certain key (combination)) ... might have missed something.

Play Locally, you need a 2nd input- I used a GPD Win in GamePad mode; I add a 2nd player via the built-in keyboard and press X to change to a CPU. It's needlessly complex.
