Hole In One
Only got this game on Friday but managed to get a hole in one, which thanks to the stick controls felt awesome. Got the odd hole in one in golf other games, but this was the most satisfying one, wish I'd saved the replay though did get a screen.

Seen some complaints about the stick controls but I'm loving them, this might already be my favourite golf game of all time.

Getting a hole in one is satisfying. Are you still using beginner clubs? I moved to Pro clubs after I felt somewhat capable. They make the game a bit more difficult. Haven't tried Master clubs yet. I think that might frustrate me too much.

I tried master clubs for a while but didnt enjoy the experience so dropped back to pro

Congrats on the hole in one.
I am now using the Master clubs -difficult yes, but that's where you eventually have to go if you want to really improve your game to the top level. I am still on "Difficult" level but just about to go to the top rating of "Very Difficult". I can shoot under par, but I just like the challenge !!

You dont have to go to master clubs to improve your game to top level at all. Im improving alot with using pro clubs and have found my ideal lvl for enjoyment ...but each to their own

Thanks, I am still using basic clubs and have won 5 out of 7 PGA tournaments but only on easy, so I'll likely get a shock if I increase to pro or master clubs, though I think I'll switch to medium difficulty at least from now on.

Yeh - take it slowly and in stages. You've won 5 of 7 - thats way to easy lolol. You need to work your way up as you get use to each level, and club set.
I ran second in the FedX points at season end on Master clubs at "Hard" level. So - I think now is the time to go to the top level.
Had my first round at Very Hard (top level) shot -6 and finished 43rd. Happy with that, and only 2 shots out of a top 10 finish.
Happy hittin

Have to say even medium is quite a bit harder, only played 2 tournaments on medium and got 6 over and 4 over. The 6 over included a quintuple bogey on one hole but was that tough course with a 13 mph crosswind. Going to use the practise modes a lot before my next tournament.

Still way ahead in the table thanks to the 'performance enhanced' wins early in the season, not sure I'll still be first overall at the end of the season even on medium.

Well done on the hole in one. I have played hundreds of hours on TGC 3, and played TGC 1 and 2 before and I have never had a hole in one. I am green with envy.

Thanks, as an update I practised a bit, tried another round and got a +8, my worst so far.

Then mid way through another bad round tried a new swing technique that now works 90% of the time for me, and managed to claw back to tied 3rd place at -1.

The next one after that I actually won a tournament again in style with my best score yet, only on medium but a lot better score than winning on easy.

Should hopefully win the season carrying on as medium, might upgrade from beginner clubs if I win another championship.
